The Dynastar Speed Zone 10 Ti is one of the best value, intermediate to advanced skis on the market and one of the best front side, groomer skis ever. Yes, it has the good construction we all expect; wood core, Titanal laminates, ABS sidewalls. But, what makes this ski so unique and special is PowerDrive. Developed by Dynastar engineers, with help from Factory Team skiers, this proprietary new construction enhances the ski's performance and feel on the snow in a whole new way. In short, it is a suspension system for the ski's edges. A vertical rib is sandwiched between rubber and the ABS sidewalls on both sides of the core. These two PowerDrive components allow vertical forces pushing on the edges to be absorbed. PowerDrive allows the ski's edges to stay in contact with the snow more fully, enhancing edge hold and stability, while providing a super smooth ride. PowerDrive also improves the rebound of the ski from turn to turn, giving it a more lively feel without sacrificing stability. PowerDrive is an amazing new technology in ski design and really is quite remarkable.
Dynastar says, "Developed for experienced and expert carvers, the SPEED ZONE 10 TI alpine ski offers outstanding stability and grip combined with maneuverability and accessibility.
A sandwich structure with a double Titanal plate together with the control and comfort of our Racing department's specially developed Powerdrive Piste technology pave the way for excellent control in carving turns on even the hardest snow. An Active Air Core (17% lighter) gives the ski greater ease and agility. ".
Speed Zone 10 Ti includes the Look Konect binding interface. Konect SPX 12 bindings slide onto the rail, adjusting to the proper location for any boot size with no holes to drill. A very wide plate width and screw pattern creates a very strong link between binding and boot to maximize power to the ski's edges. The toe and heel base plates actually wrap around the Konect rail, grabbing onto the outside edges, further enhancing leverage to the ski's edges for max power transmission. It is also very easy to move the toe and heel on the Konect rail, which allows for easy experimentation of boot position on the ski. Finding the best spot to stand is magic on a modern, short, deep sidecut ski.
This binding has a DIN range of 4 to 12, and will work with any standard Alpine boot sole, as well as the new, just arriving on the market, Grip Walk soles.
This ski is available only with this binding system
