Marker Baron
The new little brother to the Duke with all the same features.  The overall weight is slightly less, and the DIN range is lower also.
The Baron combines All Terrain design features with the durability and edge to edge performance of an alpine binding.

  • Power Width Design - the foot print of the binding on the ski is wider, which transmits energy to the ski edge much more efficiently.  Because the mounting pattern is specifically designed for today's wider skis, the performance difference between Marker AT models, and other AT bindings is amazingly improved.  Edge hold is more powerful, edge to edge is much easier and faster, and stability is far better.
  • Back Country Technology - With a flip of the BCT lever, the Baron changes from a super functional AT binding to very powerful alpine binding or visa versa.  An easily adjusted climbing support allows the binding to be set at 0, 5, or 10 degrees for comfortable climbing on any terrain.  When opened, BCT also shifts the boot back 30mm on the ski for better balance, and easier kick turns.
  • Low stand height - at only 32mm at the toe, and 34mm at the heel, the boot is closer to the ski than other AT models.  Especially when in AT mode, being less elevated means better control.
  • Adjustable height, Gliding AFD - the toe rest under the boot toe is adjustable up or down to fit standard alpine boots AND AT style boots.  There is no Teflon piece to lose, or replace as it wears from the boot toe moving accross it.  The gliding AFD moves with the boot, reducing sliding friction for a safer release when necessary.
  • Triple Pivot Elite toe design - This new toe design contacts the boot lug over a wider area, and offers increased anti shock capability.
  • Inter-Pivot Heel focuses the holding power downward in the direction of the boot for better retention and anti shock performance.
  • Two sizes to fit a wide range of boots - Small fits 265 to 320mm, Large fits 305 to 370mm.
